Mekari's inner monologue says:
"We Sleriki aren't fighters, even if most people think we should be, with all our abilities... And I trained to become one. One that will protect his new family. I will use all my abilities to do that, including seeing what others cannot."

Panel 2:
Shows mekari holding his sword and looking serious.
Text Box: "They cannot see the enemies yet but we're surrounded... And there are more than I expected. If Kig is as sharp as I think he is, he likely knows that too.
Mekari then says out loud: Roi, dear? This is going to get nasty. Take everyone to the closest cave you can see. Kig and I will hold back all the threats surrounding us.

Roi: "O-Ok!"

Panel 3: A group of creatures are charging Mekari who is ready with his sword.

"It's time!"

Panel 4: A close up panel of the predators. Big clawed creatures with long fronds atop their heads and fluffy tails.

They blend with the environment and hunt in large packs. Their feelers let htem detect the air vibrations made by their prey."
