"Yup. Like I said, I was 8 years old at the time. My mom had told me that we didn't have enough to pay rent that month."

"My mom warned me not to contact my Dad, or there would be consequences. But I still tried. I just wanted him to help a little. I went to his flat, that was in a nice area of the town."

Panel 2:
A finger, Daniel's pressing the buzzer on a intercom panel.
"I rang the doorbell expecting at least to see him. For him to talk to me, even if it was to tell me no, instead...."

Panel 3:
Two police officers, a human and a rabbit are standing on either side of a tiny, terrified looking 8 year old Daniel (He's real adorable)

Daniel's narration: "...He called the police"

Bunny policeman: "Hey kiddo what are you doing here?"
Human policeman: "Are you lost?
Young Daniel: "I... I am s-sorry! I'm going home!"

Panel 4:
Back to Daniel, he looks real angry as he speaks and Eiky is cuddling him close.
"Up until then, all I knew is that this guy in front of us had left us"

"It was then that my mom told me everything. That he left us because he had another family. And that he was actively trying to stop us getting any government help"

Panel 5:
Back to Daniel's dad who is holding a bowl of soup.

"I remember it. It wasn't one of my best moments. But I was scared. I thought that you were..."

Daniel: "STOP IT."
